Greetings Members of the Robert M. Hughes Academy Family,
It is with great pleasure that I have begun my work within Robert M. Hughes Academy; I am humbled and honored to serve its students!
My focus for the spring semester is upholding the academic integrity of the school. Much attention is given to preparing students for the upcoming MCAS as well as understanding how teachers structure and execute their instruction. It is imperative that not only our teachers focus on the academic success of our students, but that our parents work closely with their children, too.
Although the testing is incredibly important and deserves much of our focus for the remaining semester, we will also emphasize other enriching experiences for our students as well. Along with the RMH teachers and staff, we will dedicate ourselves to not only our student’s academic success, but to their emotional and social well-being as well. We will diligently work to uphold the mission of RMH which states that students will be given the “opportunity to achieve academic and personal excellence.”
Our school currently faces challenges that, working together, we can overcome. As your principal, I will continuously strive to do what is necessary to strengthen the RMHA family and move us forward.
